Welcome to the Community space, @cleaningsolved-o.

Fixing the bank account opening balance in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is simple. I'll gladly show you how to perform it.

To achieve this, edit the opening balance of the bank account in the Chart of accounts (COA) section. Here's how:

  1. From the Settings tab, go to the Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the bank account and click View register.
  3. Find the opening balance entry. Then, click it.
  4. Edit the date and amount.
  5. Once done, select Save.

Check out this article for more info: Enter and manage opening balances in QuickBooks Online.

If you want to place downloaded transactions to the correct accounts, you can read this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

We're pleased to have you here. You can always come back if you have additional QBO banking-related concerns. We'll be willing to assist you. Keep safe, and have a good day.
