I figured out how to import transactions from my Apple Card, but how do I change the transaction from cash to credit card?

I am new to Quickbooks SE - but a long time Quickbooks user.

Welcome to the Community, @danstratton-iclo. Thanks for letting us know about your banking concern.

I appreciate your effort in importing your transactions from Apple Card. Please know that it is still unsupported in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Though you can still import them, it will fall under Cash Account. However, you need not worry about your federal estimated tax as accounts won't affect those calculations.

You'll want to check out this article for more insights about manually importing transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I’m always around to guide you more with your banking and transactions concerns. Take care!

That simply isn’t going to work very well. Because my checking account shows payments to my Apple Card credit card and my manually imported Apple Card cash account also show payments, so I end up showing double payments. One to cash and one to a credit card. Now I understand that this really doesn’t matter, as I am only categorizing the outgoing expenses, but it is a mess. A better solution would be to be able to change the cash account to a credit card account.

Good morning, @danstratton-iclo

Thanks for reaching back out and giving your insight into the problem.

The best route, at this time, would be to submit feedback to our Product Developers. Once they review your request, they'll consider the details you provided and try to add them into the next available update. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear (Settings) icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select Feedback
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Press Next to submit the feedback.

It's that easy! Review our QuickBooks Product Updates site to keep up with what's new in the system.

I'm only a Reply away if you need me again. Wishing you and your business continued success!
