I have a software bug using QB online. I have deleted register entries and they keep coming back. They were duplicate transactions, deleted 3 times now. Anyone see this?

They aren't tied to multiple accounts. It's a bank feed. They were simple deposits that were duplicated. I deleted them directly from the chart of accounts. They were caught during reconciliation and were never reconciled. Thanks

Deleting downloaded transactions from the bank register will return them to the For Review tab, djratheal. Let me take a closer look at this matter and provide clear and constructive guidance.

In QuickBooks Online, duplicate transactions are excluded to prevent errors in your financial data and keep your account balance. Deleting them will allow the system to download similar entries from your bank. Hence, it's advisable to leave them in the Excluded tab.

In your case, you can exclude the deposits from the banking page after deleting them directly from your chart of accounts. Bringing them back in the For Review tab allows you to add them again to your books.

Here's how:

  1. Select Transactions from the left pane.
  2. Choose Bank transactions, then the For Review tab.
  3. Locate and tick the checkbox for the entry you want to exclude.
  4. Pick Exclude.
