I have an alert in my Bank Transactions screen that says "Add your QuickBooks Checking account". My QB Checking account is added. Why can I not dismiss this alert?

You'll be able to get rid of the alerts by completing the task indicated in it, dadshandy.

Since it's already verified that you have created an account for QuickBooks Checking, we can run your account using a private window to determine if this is just a browser-related issue. This does not store data cache that might cause odd behaviors when accessing QuickBooks Online (QBO). Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

If this works, you can clear your browser's cache to refresh your background processes. If not, I suggest using another supported browser. Might be that the one you're using right now has a temporary issue with QBO.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Payments support team to further verify the status of your account. There might be additional steps you need to perform to dismiss the alert.

Moreover, I've added this helpful resource that you can use as a guide in using your QuickBooks Checking account: QuickBooks Checking FAQ.

Additionally, you'll want to consider performing the reconciliation process regularly to make sure your QBO account and actual bank balance are matched.

I'm always here ready to provide additional assistance if there's any other concern you have about managing your QuickBooks Checking account. Just post a reply below. Have a good one.
