Hi there, @kpagaduan12.
You can exclude the duplicate transaction created by QuickBooks Online. Let me show you how.
Once done, the transaction is no longer reported and will not appear in any associated account registers or reports.
I've got a great article for you that provides more details on excluding transactions. You can view it by clicking this link: How to exclude expenses from downloaded bank transactions?
Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other questions. Take care.
Thank you for your reply, however, this does not resolve the issue.
The amounts I need to delete do not appear under banking.
To clarify, If I go to COA>Search>Advanced Search and filter to locate the transaction (by amount) I find three (3) for $15000.
One (1) should be a withdrawal (of $15000) from a bank account that was being closed & One (1) is for the $15000 Opening Balance Equity for the new bank account. The third one should be deleted.
Also, for the withdrawal on the bank account that was closed, what Account & Payment method would I enter in QBO?
Thank you,
Let me help you delete this transaction, @kpagaduan12.
It's great to know that you've already located the three transactions. Now, let's delete them by following these steps below:
For your second concern, I recommend reaching out to your accountant for further advice. This way, they can guide you on how to record the withdrawn amount from a close bank account.
You'll want to check our reconciliation guide in case you'll need to reconcile these transactions in the future. Here's the article: How to Reconcile an Account in QuickBooks Online.
You can always tag me in the comment section if you other banking concerns. I'll always have your back.
