I have two seperate charge accounts with seperate dbas. Is it possible to have both on one qbo account?

I have two separate dbas running on different charge accounts.  Is it possible to have both on one QBO account?

Hi jrodriguez1127. To do this you would need to use the class tracking feature and classify every transaction. 

Here's how to turn on the feature:

  1. In QBO, go to the Gear icon at the top right to get to the Account and Settings
  2. Select the Advanced menu at the left pane, then tick the Pencil (edit) icon in the Categories section. 
  3. Place a checkmark in the Track Classes box.
  4. In the Assign classes drop-down, pick whether One to entire transaction or One to each row in transaction.
  5. Hit Save and Done

If you are in the US, then it is one account per business

 

IRS Pub 583, Page 5 - must keep separate books per company

and for sole proprietors
IRS Pub 334, page 40 - "If you have more than one business, you must figure your net profit or loss for each business on a separate Schedule C."
IRS Pub 334, page 45 - separate schedule C for each business
