I just started reconciling my bank statement and it only shows transactions through the middle of the month. How do I find the other transactions to reconcile them?

I just started reconciling my bank statement and it only shows transactions through the middle of the month. How do I find the other transactions to reconcile them?

I'm here to help you sort this out, mariaville.

To start, let's check the Register if the transactions really exist. Then, ensure the status of the transactions is not reconciled (R). This could be the reason be the reason why they are not showing during reconciliation. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate the account that you want to reconcile.
  4. Click on View Register.
  5. Find the missing transactions, then check if there's an R sign below the icon.

For more information about reconciliation, I suggest checking this article:  Reconcile Workflow in QuickBooks.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help what to do if a previously-reconciled transaction is no longer marked as reconciled in QuickBooks. This way, you'll be able to ensure your books are accurate: View Details for Missing Reconciliation Reports or Reconciled Transactions.
