I appreciate your effort in raising your concerns today. I'll give you a way to set those accounts as subaccounts in QuickBooks online.
The most typical way to set up a bank or credit card account with multiple cards attached is to create a parent account first, and then have each card set up as a subaccount.
However, a parent account and its subaccounts cannot be connected all at the same. You will receive a message stating that the account is already connected if you attempt to connect both.
Since your account is connected to QuickBooks Online, you'll need to verify your bank institution and how they send downloaded transactions. If all transactions download to one account, only link the parent account. If the transactions download to different accounts, connect the child accounts instead of the parent account.
You can also utilize this page as your reference with creating subaccounts to help you maintain your chart of accounts and generate more detailed reports: Create subaccounts in your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
Alternatively, if your chart of accounts is extensive, you can use numbers to keep your accounts sorted and simple to locate. Want to assign numbers on your accounts? Visit this article: Use account numbers in your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
Drop a comment below if you have any other concerns, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible. Have a great day!
Called Bank of America and they gave me a simple solution... Create a "Master Credit Card" account (that's not linked) in the Chart of Accounts and put all corresponding cards and the main card account as subaccounts to that manually created "Master Credit Card" account. Worked like a charm. I was able to reconcile all cards and the main corporate account via the "Master Credit Card" account.
