importing pdf to qbdt

I used the moneythumb, but I am still having issues import it in the system. It is still not allowing me to select my bank; it always want to create a new bank account.  I trying to import January-March statements, because I think that is why it is showing my balance off.  Can I do it manually if I can not get the import to work? how do I go by doing that?

Yes, you can manually enter your January-March bank statement transactions into QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), Cyn6. This can help resolve balance discrepancies when imports don't work correctly.

One common reason for import issues is that the bank information on your statements doesn’t match the details in QuickBooks Desktop.

When importing statements, typically via a Web Connect (.QBO) file, verify the account setup to resolve discrepancies:

  1. Go to Lists then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the bank account (e.g., "Checking"), right-click, and select Edit Account.
  3. Check the Bank Settings or Online Settings section.

Ensure the Financial Institution is correct, and verify the account is set up for Bank Feeds (even if importing manually). Update details if necessary.

QuickBooks matches the .QBO file to the account using an internal Bank ID (BID) and account number. Mismatches or missing information will cause the file to fail.

When prompted after importing the .QBO file, select Use an existing QuickBooks account to ensure the data links correctly.

Another reason is that the existing bank account is already set up as a direct connect or is already connected to online banking. You cannot have both Direct Connect and Web Connect enabled for automatic downloads at the same time on the same account in QuickBooks Desktop.

When you import the Web Connect file, QuickBooks will allow you to select the existing bank account (the one set up for Direct Connect) to import the transactions into.
