While trying to reconcile a bank statement in my QB Desktop, there is a deposit on my bank statement but it’s not showing in QB. Is this Undeposited Funds and how do I fix it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Create the deposit in QuickBooks to match what happened in the real world.
The money could be from Undepositied Funds if you recorded it that way, as customer AR payments, or it could be from somewhere else.
I'm joining this thread to provide steps on how you can record it, Jsimons3. The transactions not appearing in QuickBooks might be located within the Undeposited Funds account.
As suggested by BigRedConsulting, you can use the Make Deposits feature located in the Banking menu in QuickBooks to accurately record the real-world deposit transaction. This helps you effectively manage the data in your bank statement.
Here's how you can do it:
After you've accurately recorded the deposit, proceed with the reconciliation process. Make sure to match the deposit on the statement with the corresponding entry in QuickBooks.
Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions about the reconciliation process. I'm here to assist you at any time. Stay well and take care.

I have a deposit that was posted to the wrong checking account (wrong customer). It was discovered while reconciling the accounts. What journal entry can be done? The correction was made by the bank in the next month. I will need to do entries for the account it was supposed to be deposited into as well. Thank you
