Is there a way to completely erase or disconnect previous transactions uploaded from a connected bank account?

I have since disconnected the accounts, but the previously loaded transactions remain, and they are from before I began work as a 1099 employee, so I don’t want them in the app at all.

Congratulations on your new work, courtney. It's good to have you visiting the QuickBooks Community Space. Let's explore ways to ensure you can permanently remove your previously uploaded transactions from the disconnected bank account.

We have a few options available to us to delete the bank transaction uploaded previously.

First, manually upload another bank transaction using a CSV file format to allow the disconnected account to appear on the bank feeds. Then, you can go to the Categorized tab and Undo the entire transaction. It'll now appear on the For review tab, and from there, you can Exclude the following data and Delete them afterward.

The second alternative is you'll need to go to the Bank Register and manually delete it from there. I can guide you on how:

  1. Go to Chart of accounts and search for the disconnected bank.
  2. Click the transactions and hit View register.
  3. Select the transaction and click the Delete button.
  4. Repeat the same process for the other ones.

The third option is to use a third-party application or a deleter tool. You can explore the QuickBooks App Store or look for one on the Apps menu.

Is there a way to completely erase or disconnect previous transactions uploaded from a connected bank account?

it appears a bank was connected to my quickbooks account but the bank was never in my chart of accounts or register, i dont ever even recall seeing it listed in my connected banks, but recently when i looked in to the "manage connections" tab under "link accounts" it lists a bank there that says it is

XXX Bank

XXXX Bank has something you need to take care of at their site. Once that’s handled, come back here and reconnect your account. (108)

then it lists a bunch of bank balances from different accounts from this bank. I dont want any of this banking information at QuickBooks how do I delete all of this bank information and the bank from quickbooks. i dont see any option to do so anywhere?

Welcome to the Community, @courtneykpickett. Accounts that appear in your Manage Connections are those related to the account connected to QuickBooks. If an account isn't showing in your Banking page or Chart of Accounts, it likely means it wasn't connected to QuickBooks initially.

Currently, the option to delete the account and account information directly is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, you can effectively remove these accounts by unlinking the connected account. Please note that this action will also delete all transactions in the For Review tab. Here’s how you can proceed:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu, then choose the Bank Transactions tab.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Click the Pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Tick the checkbox labeled Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Hit Save to complete the process.
