It looks like this QB Checking is not created to accept a check deposit directly from its page. ?

I received a check payment in the mail and want to deposit in QB Bank but there is no link to do it. What should I do? Do I have to deposit at my regular bank first? Help?

Let me route you in the right direction on how to record the check payment, 2017ops1.

Yes, you’ll have to deposit first the transaction to your regular bank. Then move the funds into your QuickBooks Checking account.

When performing this process, make sure the bank is already linked for online banking a second time for QuickBooks Checking. Please know that connecting an external account to QuickBooks Checking is separate from online banking. Once done, follow the steps below to move the funds.

Here’s how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), head to the Cash Flow menu on the left pane to select QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Choose Transfer and pick the option to transfer money between your accounts.
  3. Type the amount you wish to transfer.
  4. In the From field, select (+) and choose your connected bank account.
  5. In the To field, pick your QuickBooks Checking account.
  6. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  7. When you're ready, click Finalize transfer.

This reference provides more in-depth information on how to put money in and take money out in your QuickBooks Checking account. You’ll learn about categorizing the payments as well as steps to manage them.

Also, these resources contain answers to common questions about the Cash Flow menu and QuickBooks Checking. From there, you’ll see what you can do using the account.
