can you get a copy of the receipt for credit card transaction?

I process a payment for customer using their credit card but there's no credit card receipt after payments was completed. Customer did not receive also the receipt via email. Is there a way to get a copy of the receipt (not the invoice)?

Yes, you can get a copy of a credit card receipt for a customer transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The receipt links to the payment transaction, and you have options to retrieve it, Jc154.

We can use the search bar in QBO to find the payment by customer name, amount, or date. Then, select the payment to open details and access options like View, Print, or Email Receipt. Look for the gear icon or a Transaction processed link for receipt options.

If you use QuickBooks Payments, you have a separate Merchant Service Center account that logs all your payment transactions. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your Merchant Service Center.
  2. Select Transactions from the Activity & Reports dropdown.
  3. Filter the day when these transactions happen in the Date dropdown.
  4. Click Show advanced options to search by transaction ID and expiration date.
  5. Toggle to Search, and once you locate these transactions, select a transaction to view details.
  6. You can also use the Gear icon to view receipt options, and print, or reverse the transaction. Then, print or export the data as a CSV file.
