Manually Adding Transactions to Bank Feed

I have a bank checking account that Quickbooks won't connect to and thus there are no downloaded deposits in the bank feed to match and close out paid invoices. I've already wasted enough time on the problem, I'm moving to a new bank so I am not worried about fixing the failed connection. What I need to know is how do I manually create the transactions in the bank feed (as if they were downloaded) so I can then match the deposits and close the invoices?

Manually Adding Transactions to Bank Feed

I can help enter your transactions, Race-MX.

To add bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can create a CSV file using either a 3-column or 4-column format. If you choose the 3-column, the deposit should have a positive number, while the expenses and charges should be represented as negative numbers or with a minus sign. On the other hand, if you prefer to use the 4-column format, it should include debits and credits for each transaction.

For more information, check this link: Format CSV in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

After that, you can manually upload it to the program. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Banking menu.
  2. From the Update drop-down, select File Upload.
  3. Click Browse and select the web-connect file from your bank.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps in mapping the data.

Check this guide for more details: Manually upload transactions.
