matching account not available for bank transaction download

I am not able to import transactions form my bank to QB. After selecting the downloaded file the "account association" screen come up asking to match the downloaded file with a matching account. The account that i wish to update is not available. It is in my chart of accounts along with some of the other available accoutns that are showing up. How can I get my checking account to show as a matching QB account? I am using Mac Desktop version.

matching account not available for bank transaction download

I see that after importing transactions to QuickBooks, you're unable to find matches, @CaaDesign. I can assist you to figure things out so you can successfully link your transactions.

It's possible that the bank account is deactivated, that's why it's not showing as an option to select when you import the transactions. If so, make sure to reactivate the account by simply going through the steps below.

  1. Open the Lists or Accountant menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Click on the Account dropdown below and select Show Inactive Accounts.
  4. Locate the account you want to reactivate.
  5. Hover to the account and right-click.
  6. Then, click on Make Account Active.

That should do it! You can now try to re-import the transactions and be able to link them to the right account.
