Join nowI am trying to match deposits to invoices. Because of processing fees, the deposit doesn't match the invoice, and quickbooks in not giving me all the options to pick from in "suggested matches". For example, the invoice is for $50.00, the deposit is $47.50. The suggested matches are all under $50. I know there are more matches to choose from, but they will not show up. If I have an amount for $1000.00 there will be pages of matches to choose from. How can I see all possible matches, not just the "suggested matches"?
Thanks for joining the Community, Mitzi50. I appreciate your detailed information.
After downloading transactions, QuickBooks suggests matches for records which appear similar to the data received from your bank. You can then review and approve suggested matches, or choose not to approve them.
If none of the possible matching records found by QuickBooks are accurate, you can use your Find other matches option to search for the correct record to match your transaction with.
In the event you're unable to locate a match, you can try utilizing your Categorize feature.
I've also included a detailed resource about matching transactions which may come in handy moving forward: Match online bank transactions
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Friday!
No, QBO is not showing me all invoices when I try "find other" invoices. The deposit amount is 47.00, the invoice is 50.00 (due to processing fess). It is only showing under 50 dollar invoices, when there are many more. If I have an invoice for 1000.00, then there will be 5 pages of invoices to look through. I know how to match invoices, I just need to know how to be able to bring up ALL invoices to choose the right one. I know the person that it belongs to, I cannot bring it up under name or invoice number because the filter only searches through the "find other" that it is suggesting. Is there a way to search through ALL invoices?
I appreciate you for clarifying your issue about managing matching transactions in QuickBooks Online, Mitzi50. Please know that bringing or showing up all 1000 invoices in the Find other matches section is currently unavailable. I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.
I recommend submitting feedback about having the ability to bring up all invoices in the mentioned section above to choose the right one to match. This suggestion has been sent to our engineer for consideration in future updates.
Here's how:
For now, please know that you can filter the Find other matches section to display all invoices up to 300 on one page as a workaround.
In case you need steps on how you can view different statuses of sales transactions like open and closed invoices, you can read this article: View sales transactions in QuickBooks Online.
