Migrated from Quickbooks Desktop to Quickbooks Online. Getting when trying to sync time from Minute7 to QBO.

I'm delighted to assist you in completing the QuickBooks sync without a hassle, Susie.

I have troubleshooting steps to assist you in resolving the error you've received. This way, you can sync your Minute 7 time data to QuickBooks Online (QBO) as soon as possible.

When there is too much cache in your default browser, QBO may behave in unexpected ways. With this, I'd suggest using incognito mode to log into your account. By doing so, we will be able to determine whether or not the issue is related to the browser.

Here are the shortcuts for the keyboard:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
  •  Control + Option + P (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

Once logged in, re-sync the time from Minute7 to QBO to verify if the error is resolved. If fixed, please return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on the keyboard to clear the cache.

In addition, read the following articles to learn about the Minute 7 FAQs and the steps to take after migrating an account:

Don't hesitate to get back to me if there's anything else I can assist you with about QuickBooks data syncing. Keep in mind that I'm always willing to help out. Keep safe.

Thank you for the great suggestions! Unfortunately they didn't have any effect. I am currently working with QBO Time Team but so far they are stumped. Sounds like a new update was just pushed out by QBO for their time tracking.

UPDATE: QBO tried for a few hours to figure out why this issue was occurring, but finally blamed it on the 3rd-party time tracking apps. Interesting that TWO 3rd-party apps are having the same issue in QBO. I would maybe believe it was the 3rd-party's fault if it was only happening with one app. But when two apps have the exact same errors and issues, I believe it is an issue in QBO.

I have tried Time Tracker Ebility and Minute 7. Both apps import fine, but are not able to be edited within QBO.

After hanging up with QBO support today, I learned about Spreadsheet Sync. Was very suprised when Spreadsheet Sync sees the problem time entries that cannot be edited within QBO. But I can edit the entries in Spreadsheet Sync and re-import to QBO and it worked great. The line items were edited.
