Missing bank transactions for a 6 month period?

You can use one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

Missing bank transactions for a 6 month period?

We'll ensure you can view all your transactions and manage your financial data in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), csixcoaching.

To start, are you seeing missing transactions in the Transactions menu? If so, we'll have to filter the TypeAccount, and Date correctly so the page will display all the data you need. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Set the Type and Account filters to All.
  3. Customize the Date feature according to your preference. 80.PNG

On the other hand, if you're referring to something else, please let us know so we can provide you with an appropriate resolution.

Additionally, when your transactions are downloaded, categorize them to ensure your financial records are updated.

You can always get back to this thread if you have other banking concerns or questions about managing your self-employed transactions in QBSE. We in the Community are always ready to help you out.

Missing bank transactions for a 6 month period?

Yes, I've done this. But its like the synching just stopped for 6 months and then picked up again.  Again, the whole point of the product, to me, is the ability to take this info, once categorized, directly to your tax form product to start my taxes - but only works if I have ALL activity.  If I have to do it manually, then I don't need to be paying for QB Self-Employed.  Everything looks set up correctly on your end and bank end.

Missing bank transactions for a 6 month period?

Yes, I've done this.  Still no transactions from 6/2023 thru 2/1/24.  Everything seems set up right on Intuit side and bank side.

Missing bank transactions for a 6 month period?

Hello, csixcoaching. I appreciate you trying some steps to get this resolved.

Before we proceed, may I know the name of your bank? This will help me check our system to see if there is any ongoing investigation. Additionally, when you connect your bank account with QuickBooks, your recent transactions will be downloaded automatically. Typically, most financial institutions allow downloading the past 90 days of transactions.

I understand it is inconvenient for you to manually enter a missing transaction in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I apologize for any problems this has caused you, but don't worry; I am here to assist you in resolving this issue.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, there may be instances where certain transactions are not automatically imported or categorized. In such cases, manually entering these transactions to ensure accurate record-keeping becomes necessary. While this process may seem time-consuming, it is crucial for maintaining the integrity of your financial data.

To manually enter a missing transaction in QuickBooks Self-Employed, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Navigate to the Transactions.
  3. Look for and select the option to Add Transaction.
  4. Fill in the necessary transaction details, including the date, amount, category, and other relevant information.
  5. Save the transaction, and it will be recorded in your account.

By manually entering missing transactions, you can ensure that your financial records are complete and accurate. It also lets you track your income and expenses more effectively, clearly showing your business's financial health.

If you want to learn how QBSE categorizes transactions based on IRS Schedule C categories to match it to a line on your Schedule C. Please refer to this article: Schedule C categories.

While I understand that this may be an inconvenience, please know that our team is continuously working to enhance the automation and accuracy of data imports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

We appreciate your patience and feedback as we strive to improve our services. If you require any further assistance or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Community forum again. We are here to help you maximize your QuickBooks Self-Employed experience. Have a great day!
