Missing bank transactions

I know the importance of accurately recording transactions and the impact that missing transactions can have, M4MU.

Fortunately, there are a few options we can explore to retrieve the missing transactions without affecting the rest of your QuickBooks Online data.

First, update your bank account to bring them in QuickBooks Online. I'll show you how.

1. Go to Transactions and select Bank Transactions on the left panel.
2. Select the blue tile for the account you're working on
3. Click on the Update button.

Second, it would be beneficial to review your uncategorized accounts, as the missing transactions might be located there.

1. Click the Transactions menu and choose the Chart of Accounts tab.
2. Look for the Uncategorized Income or Uncategorized Expenses account.
3. Tap Run report.
4. Look for the missing transaction in the report.

Once verified that the data is not there, I recommend manually importing them using a CSV file into QuickBooks Online. Ensure the file format matches the required format for importing transactions into QuickBooks Online. This method can be efficient for importing a large number of transactions at once.

Finally, I recommend performing an account reconciliation to guarantee the accuracy of your transaction data and identify any discrepancies.
