Missing credit card data

Hi there.

There are a couple of reasons why you're missing several months of credit card data. There are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue, and I'm here to assist you.

You'll need to reconnect your bank in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to refresh its connection between them. After successfully reconnecting your account, you'll also need to exclude any transactions that had been downloaded from the past to avoid duplication. Please note that deleting your bank connection will also delete your transaction history permanently

Furthermore, I also need to ask a few questions so we can narrow down the specific errors to recover the data:

  • What is the name of your financial institution?
  • Is there an error when you refresh the QBSE webpage?
  • Is this your first time connecting your bank to QBSE?

If this is your first time connecting your bank to QBSE, your bank varies whether they allow auto migration of data to your QuickBooks account. To fix this, you'll need to contact your bank's support about this or manually import transactions into your QBSE account.

Here's how:

  1. Head to the Profile icon and select Imports.
  2. Click Import transactions.
  3. Follow the steps to upload the CSV file and click Import.

After uploading your transactions, you can now create rules to categorize them quickly.
