Allow me to share a way to properly track multiple donations and match it to a single deposit in QuickBooks Online.
If you added or matched the deposit with the wrong transactions in QuickBooks, let's undo it first. This way, we can track your donation and match your deposit properly.
Here's how:
- Go to Banking menu.
- Select tile for the bank account you imported the transaction from.
- Click the Categorized tab.
- Find the transaction you want to unmatch.
- Hit Undo from the Action column. If you want to see the matched transaction tap the blue transaction link in the Added or Matched column.
Once done, you can follow the steps outlined in this article to track funds you receive from donors in QuickBooks Online. Depending on how you receive the donation, you can record and track it as a sales receipt, bank deposit, or pledge.
