Hi, service5.

We can view old transactions by following these steps:

  1. Go to Sales Receipts.
  2. Click on Date.
  3. Choose Custom.
  4. Choose your preferred date.
  5. Click Done.

Is this regarding the mobile app for Quickbooks Online.?  I don't see a "date" field when I go into the receipts.  Need to be able to see receipts in the mobile app before 2018.  I can see them all in the desktop version but not in the mobile app (only 2018).

I know what you need to click first to see the Date option, service5.

From the Sales Receipts section, click the Search (magnifying glass) icon. Below the Search sales receipts field, you'll see the Date link with a drop-down arrow beside it. Click the arrow to expand it, and then select Custom.

Lastly, filter the dates to 2018 to see the transactions you're looking for. I also added screenshots for you.

I'm on Android. It doesn't bring up a date link when I go into Receipts and click in the search box.  It only allows for me to search, but doesn't show any kind of sorting or filtering options.  Still not sure how to get receipts before 2018 to show up on my mobile app.  Any helps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for providing us additional details about your concern, service5.

Let's get this sorted out. I'm here to guide you through on how to sort date when you go to the Sales Receipt section of your QuickBooks Online app.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales Receipts section.
  2. Click the sort icon (3 dots).
  3. Choose Sort by.
  4. Click the radio button for Date.

I've attached a screenshot below for your reference.

If you're not seeing this filter option, let's try resetting your QuickBooks Online app to refresh the system.

Here's how:

  1. Click Help at the top.
  2. Selecting Reset App Data.
  3. Then, close and re-open the app and try signing in again.

We have this available article that provides basic information about QuickBooks Mobile App: Mobile in-product help topics and FAQs.

Keep in touch with me if you need further assistance with filtering options for your sales receipts. I'm always available to help.

The question wasn't about how to sort receipts in the Quickbooks mobile app, but how can I view the receipts from before 2018.  They are in QBO but not showing in the app.  Also, there is no "Reset App Data" option when I click on Help.

Thanks for getting back to us, service5.

Sorting the date range of the sales receipts will display the transactions that you're looking for. The mobile app can only show you the recent imported transactions. So if you need to see the older ones, you'd have to filter the dates for them to be displayed.

However, if you've done these steps and still don't see the data you want, please give us a call. We can check why those sales receipts are not showing on the mobile app but shows on the desktop version of QBO.

Here's how to get our contact number:

  1. Go to this link https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Click the Running your business in QuickBooks topic.
  4. Select the Banking sub-topic.
  5. Scroll down and click the Get Phone Number button.

I'll be here if you need anything else.

Not sure if this helps, but all of the sales receipts were imported into QBO.  Still not sure why it's only showing the 2018 receipts though.  Also, I just noticed that when I edited a receipt from 2016 and saved it, that one receipt now shows up on the mobile app.  Not sure if that gives you any hints as to what might be going on.
