Meanwhile, if you haven't yet, I recommend contacting American Express (Amex) to check if there are any ongoing issues, such as system updates or policy changes, that might impact account connections with QuickBooks.

If everything is working correctly on your bank's end and none of these troubleshooting steps apply, I recommend disconnecting and reconnecting the account in QuickBooks.
Before doing so, review and categorize any remaining transactions in the for review tab and make note of the date of the last transaction downloaded. This method will prevent you from downloading the same transactions twice when you reconnect your account.
