pdf to csv

I used several converters to change my pdf to csv.  nothing is working for me to import it into quickbook desktop. I only need january to march, because the beginning balance is starting at April not january.  So my beginning balance is wrong?  I feel if this is uploaded it will correct some of the problem.  I have my account link to quickbooks, but I am not understanding why it did not pick those months.

Importing bank data into QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) through Web Connect only works with .qbo files, Cyn6.

When you link your bank account to QBDT for the first time, the number of transactions downloaded depends on your bank's settings. Most banks typically allow up to 90 days of historical transactions to be downloaded.

If your transactions are in a PDF file, we recommend converting the file to a .qbo format rather than a CSV file to ensure compatibility with QuickBooks. And before importing your data, always create a backup of your company file. This ensures that you can restore your data should any issues arise during the process.

Once your .qbo file is ready, follow these steps to import transactions using Web Connect:

  1. Open the Banking menu at the top of your QBDT account and select Bank Feeds.
  2. Choose Import Web Connect Files.
  3. Locate and select the .qbo file you saved, then click Open.
  4. Select your bank account.
  5. Click Continue. A confirmation dialog box will appear, indicating that the data has been successfully imported into QuickBooks.
  6. Click OK. Then, go to the Bank Feeds Center to review and manage your imported transactions.

When I do that, it keeps asking me to import new transaction now, then my account comes up but when I select use an existing Quickbooks account, the continue button does not come up blue.  If I create a new quickbooks account which make me an account, which I do not want to happen.

The Continue button is not clickable because the bank account is already locked into the Direct Connect method, Cyn6.

When you tried to import the .QBO file, the program sees that the account is already being serviced through automatic download. It's a safety feature designed to prevent duplicate transactions by mixing the automatic downloads with a manual import.

To proceed with the manual import, you can temporarily deactivate the Bank Feeds for that account. Here's how:

  1. Go to your Chart of Accounts.
  2. Right-click on the bank account you want to, then click Edit Account.
  3. Proceed to the Bank Settings tab.
  4. Choose Deactivate all online services, then select OK.
  5. Click Save & Close.

After that, follow the same steps in the previous response to import the .QBO file. . Then, make sure to categorize or match all imported transactions.

Once done, you can switch back to Direct Connect to automatically download all future transactions.

@Cyn6

You can use pdf2qbo converter tool as a workaround.
