Problems linking bank account?

Is anyone else having an issue connecting their bank account to QB? I am so frustrated. I am a small business, just started subscribing a month ago, and despite all of this: trying to connect every day, trouble shooting with QB customer service multiple times, speaking to 8 different representatives (3 of whom hung up on me even though I wasn't rude, I'm assuming because they didn't have an answer), and checking with my own bank to see if it was my own issue/theirs, I STILL HAVE NO SOLUTION. I have not been able to use QuickBooks the way I intended it one time. It will not connect to my credit card or my bank account. I asked for a supervisor to call me back about a refund/being pro-rated and have not been contacted. This is causing MAJOR PROBLEMS for my business! I am beyond disappointed, have not been updated on the multiple investigation numbers I have tried to open through customer service, and honestly am just over this. Is it just me or is anyone else having similar issues??

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

I won't rest until this is taken care of, @DunsUberTaxi

I'm determined to improve your impression of our Customer Care team. I want you to be able to connect your bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed at the soonest moment. This way, you can categorize your transactions easily.

Before digging in, may I know your Financial Institution's name? This way, I can check our reports to see if we have an ongoing issue. By doing that, I can provide you with a permanent solution to help fix the problem.

Also, ensure that you connect the accurate bank account. Once confirmed and the issue persists, I'd recommend reaching out to your bank website again to verify if there's an ongoing issue on their end.

Alternatively, I'd suggest manually importing your bank transactions using a CSV file.

Go as follows:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Import transactions.
  2. Click the import transactions hyperlink in the bottom part.
  3. Hit Browse and pick your CSV file.
  4. Match the details and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once done, manually categorize them to ensure your books and reports are always accurate.

Furthermore, check out these articles below on how to categorize bank transactions automatically and the related matters:

Fill me in if you have other questions about banking in QBSE. I'll be happy to help you again. Keep safe and take care.

Problems linking bank account?

Hello there,

I'm here to provide information about importing transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO) through bank feeds.

When you are connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO), it's important to note that most banks allow you to download only the last 90 days of transactions. In some cases, financial institutions may provide access to transactions dating back up to 24 months. If you need to add transactions that are missing from your QBO account, such as those from May to July, you'll need to upload those transactions manually. I can guide you through the process.

To start, obtain a CSV file from your bank with your transactions. Then, ensure that it's in the correct format. Afterward, you can follow the instructions below.

  1. On the left navigation panel, click Transactions.
  2. Select Upload from file on the Link account dropdown menu.
  3. Drag or upload the CSV file. Then, click Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, pick the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, click Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then, click Continue.
  6. Select the transactions you like to import. Then, press Continue.
  7. Click Yes, then Done.

You can check out this article for more info on uploading transactions into QBO: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Once you've got all your transactions, here's a handy guide on ensuring they're under the right categories: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
