QB desktop Mac Pro software bug - reconciliation

I just reconciled several months of a bank account. I checked the box to automatically proceed to the next month's reconciliation, so the next month would automatically appear. I completed reconciliation through October. Then I backed up and quit QB.  When I returned to finish reconciling the same account, the reconcile window said the last reconciliation was July.   Since I couldn't find a fix, I decided to try to reconcile starting in July again, but there are no checks and payments nor deposits available (they were already cleared the first time).  I verified and rebuilt the data, but that didn't help. How can I fix this?

Thanks!

QB desktop Mac Pro software bug - reconciliation

We appreciate you providing us with a detailed representation of your current situation, @Brenda916. We'll share details to help you access and review previous reconciliations inside QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Upon reading through your query, you mentioned you created a backup copy of your company file after completing the previous reconciliation. You can restore the backup copy to access the last saved file and open your completed reconciliation to review it. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

  1. From the QuickBooks menu, select Settings.
  2. Select Backup.
  3. Select Reveal Backup Folder, then double-click the folder where you save your backup files.
  4. You can select Date Modified to sort by date and see your most recent backup.

For further guidelines, please see this page: Restore your backup company file for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

You can also utilize the Audit Trail option to check and review those transactions and verify if they've been removed or deleted from your company file. For more details, please see this page: Create reports in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

In addition, here's an article to help you add more details to your report to show specific data inside QBDT: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

We look forward to having you here again if you need further assistance accessing a backup copy to restore the previous reconciliation, @Brenda916. Feel free to comment below or visit us here in the Community so we can help you again. Have a good one.
