QBDT

Anyone else have this problem? I am getting all kinds of notices that my BofA feeds are getting turned off 6 July. As I am going through the process today of turning off and then reestablishing feeds, my QBDT keeps crashing and not reconnecting. Intuit support tells me this is a known issue that they are diligently working on a fix. Intuit -- any idea how long it will take to fix this problem (the deadline is 6 July)? Thank you.

YES!  I got a notice in Quickbooks Desktop Pro to switch from Bank of America New to Bank of America QBDT by July 7 because Bank of America New feeds will no longer work. My Bank of America New feed was working perfectly.  I wanted to switch to the new feeds before July 7th.

So I disconnected my Bank of America New feeds and tried connecting to Bank of America QBDT.

I attempted this, it goes all the way through the process then at the very end when is says connected I get another air message, "Sorry, we've run into a problem. QuickBooks is having trouble connecting to Bank of America - QBDT. Options; Try again later, this is a temporary issue and will be resolved in a day or two.Try to set up your Bank of America - new again then. Below this message it says; 88888 All accounts associated with this customer ID have been synced with QuickBooks bank feeds. If other wise contact your financial institution.

This has been going on beyond the suggest one to two days now. So frustrating when my original feeds were working.  Is anyone else dealing with this?

I am in the same boat.  Why send something out that is not working at all.  Talk about frustrating a business owner.  Aggravating.  I will switch back to old version of downloads.

RIDICULOUS!!

Another genius QB change. I tried connecting to BofA, and the updated (QBDT) feed is literally not even up there which means the admins pulled it down to fix it.

I only noticed after rereading the email that I was adding and removing the old "BofA new" because QBDT cannot be located in a search.  Hopefully they will either delay disconnecting the currrent feed or will update QBDT so it doesn't fail on install.  Who QA tests this stuff?

Yes what's bothering me is that I was trying to be proactive, so i followed the Intuit instructions, killing my old feeds, then trying to reestablish new ones, while Intuit failed to mention that there was a bug in their software so that I couldn't reestablish feeds. Intuit needs to deal with programmer errors aggressively.

Thanks for following up with the Community, suds1.

I've reviewed our investigation about QuickBooks crashing at Step 3 when attempting to connect to Bank of America and can confirm our Product Investigations team is currently researching this for a resolution.

If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend making sure your account is added to the ongoing investigation. You can do so by getting in touch with our Customer Care team and referencing the investigation ID (INV-158200). There's also some things they can take from you, such as log files, etc. that may help them to find a resolution sooner.

I also recommend anyone else in this thread experiencing the same behavior in their product to do the same if they haven't yet. Once an account is added to the investigation, you'll receive email notifications about any updates in relation to it.

As a workaround for the time being, Intuit's Product Investigations team is recommending using WebConnect to download transactions and import them into your books.

Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any questions. Have a wonderful Friday!

You can no longer switch back to the old connection because the old Bank of America has been discontinued. For now, you can follow @ZackE's workaround to use Webconnect to download your transactions and import them into your books.

I have this exact same issue.  Why would they send us an email telling us to convert and then leave us no way back until the issue is resolved?  makes no sense.
