QuickBooks Desktop Bank Feeds

In QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions: Accountant 23.0 - When I transfer the QBO file to my Bank Feed into QuickBooks desktop, the check numbers never appear in the register.  So then I have to go back through the register and add the check numbers.  Does anyone know of a solution, or am I doomed?

QuickBooks Desktop Bank Feeds

Hello there, @Buell72. I appreciate you taking the time to share details of your concern and the workaround you've performed. Rest assured that I'm here to help you get past this situation.

Before anything else, can you provide the name of your financial institution? This will help us identify if the issue is specific to your bank.

In the meantime, I recommend following a series of troubleshooting steps that involve verifying and rebuilding your company file. These steps are specifically designed to resolve common issues and ensure the accuracy of your financial data in QuickBooks. Data damage in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) can cause unexpected behavior, such as check numbers not appearing.

Let me guide you through the steps on how:

To start, let's first ensure you have your QBDT updated to the latest release. This keeps your QuickBooks file up-to-date so you have the latest features and product improvements.

Verify data (scan company file for errors or data damage)

  1. Go to Window, then select Close All.
  2. GO to the File menu, then select Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data. If you see:
    a. QuickBooks detected no problems with your data—your data is clean, and you don’t need to do anything else.
    b. An error message—search for it on our QuickBooks Desktop support site for how to fix it.
    c. Your data has lost integrity—Data damage was found in the file. Rebuild your data to fix it.

To rebuild your company data, I recommend referring to this article for detailed steps: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop. It provides comprehensive instructions on how to perform the rebuilding process to ensure the integrity of your company data in QuickBooks.

Moreover, I'll also share this article to learn more ways how to fix QuickBooks' common issues: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
