Deposit detail does not show up when I "Print Register"

I am using QuickBooks Pro 2021 Desktop on a Windows 11 PC.

As an attorney, I establish separate bank accounts for each client that are sub-accounts under the Client Trust Fund account.  When I deposit client funds using "Make Deposits" the funds go into the proper sub-account.  When I "Print Register" for the entire Client Trust Fund, however, the only thing that shows up is the word "Deposit" in the memo line, not any of the actual memo line information from the deposit, and no indication of which sub-account the funds are in.  Is there a way to make the Print Register report show the memo line of what client the funds belong to?
Most attorneys are required to do 3-way reconciliation reports, but QB does not seem to have a simple one-click for this in the standard reports.  Is this a feature that Intuit can add?

Deposit detail does not show up when I "Print Register"

Hello there, @attyclark. Welcome to the Community.

Let me guide you on how you can show the memo line of what client your funds belong to when making a deposit and pulling up reports, so you can manage your transactions and reconcile your accounts accordingly in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

When you deposit client funds using Make Deposits, the info you've indicated under the Memo column won't be displayed when you select the Print Register option. You should input or specify the details of the deposit in the Memo field above (Please see the screenshot below for your reference).

With that, I'd recommend transferring the actual memo line information from the deposit in the Memo field and pulling up the Account QuickReport instead. To pull up a QuickReport, here's how:

  1. Click the Lists menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Right-click on the bank account.
  3. Select QuickReport: [bank account].
  4. Click the Customize Report button, then filter the necessary information.
  5. Select OK.

The output will look something like the screenshot below.

The output will look something like the screenshot below. On the other hand, you can also export the QuickReport and manually add the memo for each of your deposits.

Also, you may want to check out this article as your reference if you need to use a Check or Deposit Detail report to show links between transactions in QBDT: Use Check or Deposit Detail Reports to show transaction links.

Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have other banking concerns or questions about managing deposit transactions in QBDT. I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @attyclark.
