How do I post an interest payment to my business checking account from the bank?

Deposit. Payor is bank. Item is interest income account. If you do not yet have such account add it.

Or you can wait until you reconcile the account where there is a box to enter interest earned during cycle or similarly monthly bank fees.

If I look for Deposits, I only find a place to see deposits, not a place to enter them.  And if I go to reconcile my bank checking account, I don't see an option to enter interest.  I do see that when I reconcile a credit card, but not on a bank checking account.

Hey charteroaktel. @john-pero is correct in regards to creating a deposit as a solution. Just make sure the payor is set to the bank and the item is set as an interest income account. If you don't already have one set up, click inside of the box and then select Add New+ to create one. It’s also possible to do so during reconciliation as he stated but, for some people, this isn't a good option because they would like to see all their payments as soon as they come in. I just changed banks and the old one never paid interest, so this is new.
