You’ve reached the right place, @tiffanyalicem-ou.

I can walk you through in connecting your second bank account with QuickBooks.

Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the TransactionsBanking menu.
  3. Select the Banking tab.
  4. Click Add Account from the Banking page. add bank.jpg
  5. Search for your bank from the list of supported financial accounts.
  6. Type in your bank's login credentials.
  7. Click Securely Connect.
  8. Choose the account you want to add and its Account Type.
  9. Click Connect. bank account.jpg

Once completed, you can review and categorize your transactions. Just go to the For Review tab to complete this task. It helps you ensure your financial records are correct.

Hi Tiffany,

I also have 2 bank accounts, one checking and the other is savings that I transfer funds back and forth between. They are both setup to update from the bank. In my case the 2 accounts are at the same bank. When the QuickBooks accounts get updated from the bank any of my transfers just show up as uncategorized income in the account the funds are transferred to.

The bank just provides the info to each account... it doesn’t know to do one transaction and do it as a transfer.

I thought this was goofy and made edits to link the transfers between the two accounts.

This is fine if you do things correctly but you’ll be going from 2 transactions (one in savings and one in checking) to a single transaction between the 2 accounts.

This can get messy if not done properly.

If I had to do this over again I would not link the transfers between the 2 accounts... I’d leave them separate
