Is there any way to change manually added transactions from cash to a checking account?

I'm glad you've reached out to us here today, marissa@heliotyp.

 

I have some information about changing accounts in QuickBooks Self-Employed. For manually added transactions, Cash is the default account used. Thus, changing it to a Checking account is unavailable.

 

To get this sorted out, you can import the transaction. This way, you can select your checking account.

 

Here's how to import:

 

  1. Go to Gear at the top.
  2. Under Transactions, select Imports.
  3. Hover towards your checking account, then click the Import older transactions link (see the attached image below).
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Select Import.
