My previously saved mileage dating from Sept. 5th - Dec. 31st 2019 has vanished. It was previously logged and saved in the app, and now it's gone. How do I retrieve it?

I used the automatic mileage tracker all year with no issues. As I said, the mileage was recorded, categorized, and saved during the four missing/deleted months. It's just vanished. No other transactions during those months have disappeared from my account, either. Just mileage. It's thousands of miles of records, so I really need it back.

All mileage from January 1st onward is showing up, however.

Hello there, tisea.

Welcome aboard to the Intuit Community. To help retrieve the missing mileage, let’s open your QBSE account using the InPrivate or incognito mode. This is to identify if the issue is caused by too much data stored in the browser.

Refer to the shortcut keys below:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P for Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N for Chrome.
  • Hold down Command + Shift + N for Safari.

If the miles are showing up using this session, I suggest clearing the cache of the regular browser to start on a clean slate. This process is just emptying the cache, so the next time you display a webpage, everything must be downloaded anew.

However, if you’re using the mobile app, I suggest following the recommended steps in these articles:

If none of these steps work, contact our QBSE Care Team. They have to access your account and review the transactions recorded.

Once the issue is identified, our support agents will guide you through the steps on how to retrieve the missing entries. Simply click on the  Assistant icon and enter the issue or concern in the Type something field box.
