Quickbooks not automatically downloading bank transactions

Let's manually perform an update so your linked account refreshes its connection with QuickBooks, marya6_8. We'll help you go through the process accordingly below.

Your financial institution may be performing system maintenance, or there may be notifications on their website that need your attention. That's why your transactions aren't downloading into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

To fix the error, we'll manually update the connection. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Connect Bank under Transactions.
  3. Click Refresh all.

If the issue persists, we'd recommend signing in to your bank's website for notifications or reaching out to their support for further assistance.

Once your transactions are downloaded, categorize them to ensure your financial records are correct.

We'll always be available if you need additional assistance downloading bank transactions in QBSE. Please keep us posted in this thread, and we'll be sure to get you covered.

Quickbooks not automatically downloading bank transactions

I’ve already tried this unsuccessfully . The only way to log-in and re-populate my Transactions is to log-in to the QB Self-employed website online. Afterwards I seem to be disconnected and my new transactions do not update on the mobile app or website. I contacted my credit union and CS said i need to use a different web address to stay connected. There doesn’t seem to be a way to manually change a banking web address manually through QB. How can I resolve this problem? I’m getting very frustrated. I don’t have time to input everything manually.

I appreciate your effort in following the suggestions above, @marya6_8. Let me share a way to connect with your bank using the updated URL to import transactions seamlessly.

Changing the URL of a connected bank is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Since it seems like you're disconnected, you'll want to review the connection first by going through the Manage account. Otherwise, please leave the existing one connected so the imported transactions won't disappear.

In the meantime, add the bank again using the new web address. It will trigger the linkage again and download transactions. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Profile Gear icon and select the Connect Bank under Transactions.
  2. On the Bank accounts window, paste the updated URL of your bank in the search box.
  3. Press Continue or Connect another.
  4. Enter the sign-in info for your bank's website, then hit Connect securely.

If you'd like to do this process using an iOS or an Android, refer to this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once done, classify the transactions by following this guide: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please keep us posted for additional assistance in managing transactions. I'm always here to help you out. Take care.
