I understand the challenges you've faced. It's been a tough situation for you, @jessparvin.

I'll help you in recovering those missing bank accounts in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

The browser can occasionally be poorly configured, which leads to issues. I suggest opening a different browser or a private window to isolate the issue. Here's how to activate incognito mode in some of the most common online browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you can finally see your missing account, it's safe to say that the browser has caused it. This can be fixed by clearing your cache and cookies.

For more information, you can visit this link: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'd also like to add a couple more articles for future guidance and resources when syncing transactions in QBSE:

I do not see a "Banking" tab or the image you sent. . . Are you using QB Self-Employed or a different QB? I tried an incognito window, but it still isn't connecting to my main checking account.

Let's figure out why one of your accounts doesn't show up, jess.

The Banking tab is only available for QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscriptions. My colleague DebSheenD updated her reply to correspond to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) subscription.

May I know the financial institution of the account you're referring to? When a bank account doesn't show up when connecting, it's possible that it's not supported.

Manually connecting a bank account is currently unavailable. However, if you want to bring the transactions on that account, we can manually upload them through a CSV file. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Profile icon and click Imports.
  2. Select Import transactions.
  3. Click the import transaction link shown in the image below.

import.PNG4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file and hit Import.

Moreover, I'll add this article to help you group transactions you download from your bank or enter into QBSE: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Hit reply if you have further questions about banking connectivity in QBSE. I'll be here to help. Stay safe!
