Says transaction needs action qb cant match it but info is correct reciept is correct no option to delete transaction to re add it what can i do?

Hey there, @ghayd1968.

 

Let me share with you what's causing this action message and provide you a solution to this.

 

You'll see a "Needs action" message in the Type column if QuickBooks can't record a forwarded receipt.  

 

If you have a similar transaction from your online banking account, you'll need to wait for QuickBooks to download it first. This way, you can match it with your forwarded receipt.

 

However, if it can't find a match, QuickBooks will automatically create a new transaction from the forwarded receipt. Then, you'll need to categorize it. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Look for the receipt you forwarded.
  3. Review the details.sales.JPG
  4. Follow the steps to categorize the transaction.

 

In addition, you can run the Profit and loss report in QuickBooks. This will show you the summary of your income and expense transactions. Just go to Reports and click View to see the report.
