Buy nowLooking for help transferring the information that shows up when I use "Check Register" for my accounts from one company file to another. An employee had accidentally worked on a old version of the company file when they were reconciling. There is about a year of information difference between the two Company Files now so it would be an extreme hassle to re-reconcile or manually enter the difference of information onto the file that was reconciled.
Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
It's nice to see you here, @DaveOcean,
I can share some insights on how to transfer transactions from one company file to another. Your first option is to export the data from the source company file and map the entries to import to the receiving file.
To export files:
Make sure to back up the receiving company file before you import IIF files. If you ever run into problems, you can use your backup to restore your data.
To import:
Note: If you’re in Multi-user mode, go to the File menu, then select Switch to Single-user Mode.

Another option is using a third-party application to do the transfer. We have lots of tools you can choose from in our Apps Website. Simply search for "import" to view the available importers that works with our program. Here's the link to our site: https://desktop.apps.com/home
We also have another channel called Intuit Developers, where you can find engineers who can recommend third-party applications for you to use. In this website, you can connect with people who can help with app integrations, take part in software developments and innovate business tools for QuickBooks.
Here's the link to the website: Intuit Developers Community.

If you are not familiar with IIF feature, utilize one of these tools to migrate Checks data between company files.

I am having issues in where it is saying the IFF file could not import due to that account data not being supported. Since that is not possible is there a way I can transfer Invoices and Estimates in bulk?
Thanks for adding more details about your concern, DaveOcean.
The IIF files feature allows you to export lists from one QuickBooks company file and import them into another one. When moving transactions, some of them don’t come over in the import process.
Here’s an article that lists the complete details. Go to the Learn about IIF import and export limitations section to view them: Export, import, and edit IIF files.
If you’re using QuickBooks 2019, importing lists and transactions are more convenient and accurate. The Improved Import IIF Tool helps eliminates the possibility of transferring bad data. This is because it will scan your file for errors.
However, if this tool you’re utilizing, you can consider visiting the Intuit Marketplace. This is a one-stop-shop where you'll find third-party apps that integrates with QuickBooks Desktop.
From there, enter a keyword in the search field (import invoices) or use the Categories section to expedite the process. Click the View Profile button to learn more about the app.
