Updating Financial Institutions Directory in Enterprise 20 being used with Windows 11

I found another conversation in the Intuit community which gives the steps for dealing with this issue in Windows 8 and Windows 10, but not Windows 11.

When I look at the Participating Financial Institutions list in the Banking menu, it does in fact list the one that I'm looking for, "Chase Bank ALL - New".  However, when I go to connect my accounts in the Bank Feeds area, that same bank is not available.  I've tried the other "Chase" options, and none of them work, as expected.  I know from researching that I need to use the "Chase Bank ALL - New" option, but can't get it to show up!  Please help!

You did a great job manually updating your financial institutions directory, Kevin.

Since you can now see the new connection when you access the Banking menu, the update was successful. You might still be connected to online services, or there could be a problem with the data in your company file. I'll share some procedure to fix this.

Before we begin, make sure to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and create a backup of your company file. This guarantees you have the most recent features and fixes.

After that, please disconnect all online services and then run the Verify and Rebuild data to ensure your company file is free from any data issues. I'll show you how.

To Verify:

  1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data, then select OK to close all windows.
  3. Once you’ve verified your data, you can rebuild your company file to fix any errors or data damage that's found.

To Rebuild:

  1. Go back to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data, then select OK to close all windows.

Once done, you can now now connect your bank account to online banking. You can read this article to walk you through the process: Refresh your connection for Express Web Connect online banking.

To help you match the transactions to those in QuickBooks, I've also added the following resource: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you need anything else, let me know. I'll be around to help you.
