My bank does not currently connect to quickbooks online, so I have to manually download the transactions and upload the files to quickbooks. Today, the files are downloading to my computer fine, but when I try to upload to quickbooks the banking square updates to say there are no transactions to process, which I know is not the case from looking at the banking website. It also won't update the "Updated" date, as though it hasn't uploaded anything. I've tried restarting my computer, restarting quickbooks, and I've had my boss try to upload files and she is having the same issue. What can I do to trouble shoot this?
Hey there, JBoyens.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Community today. I want to make sure you're able to view your bank transactions in your QuickBooks Online account.
In addition to the troubleshooting steps you tried, I'd also recommend clearing the browser cache. The cache is in place to collect frequently used data to make loading web pages quicker and easier. If it becomes too full it can have an adverse effect which can potentially cause viewing and performance errors. Clearing the cache will force the system to refresh and will remove the roadblock preventing your transactions from uploading. Here's how to get this done in Chrome for example:
1. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
2. Select More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.
3. Change the time range to All Time.
4. Only check Cached images and files.
5. Click Clear data.

If the issue persists, you may want to reach out to a member of the QBO Support Team as these agents have specialized tools to take a closer look to determine what's causing the problem. This link contains the info to contact QuickBooks Online Support.
Please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help in any way that I can.
Another option, utilize MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
