I have a client who uses Venmo so I have connected their Venmo to QBO. There are some quirks like the balance imported is net (not including fees) and personal Venmo and business Venmo are ingested. This seems to be a problem with the Venmo data not QBO specifically. However I need to MFA daily to see the recent transactions. It is frustrating for both the client and I to have to request the MFA code daily. Is there any way to stop this?
Hello there, westside1.
I understand how would be easy to view all your clients' current transactions by not getting a multi-factor authentication.
The multi-factor authentication or two-step verification improves the security of your client's account. They can choose to disable this function if it doesn't work for your company. If they consider turning it off, you can share these steps with them.
For additional information, check out this article: Why am I asked to verify my identity when two-step verification is off?

@SarahannC You don't understand the problem. VENMO is constantly asking for MFA. The solution is not to turn off Quickbooks MFA! I am also encountering this problem. Is there a true solution?
That must have annoyed you, A7028.
I appreciate you sharing feedback about the respond of my colleague. Allow me to share some insights about how stopping the Venmo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) code.
All Venmo accounts are protected by MFA. With this, entering the code is required. While we're unable to stop Venmo from sending codes, I suggest reaching out to your client. They can check with Venmo if there's another way to handle the connection without asking the MFA code.
On the other hand, I want to make sure the MFA code won't stop you from updating the bank entries. That being said, you can download transactions from Venmo, then format it using a CSV file to include fees.
In addition to this, I'm adding these articles as guidance to formatting the CSV file and importing bank transactions to QuickBooks.
As always, you can add a comment below if you have further questions with Venmo and QuickBooks. I’d be happy to answer it for you, @A7028 Have a great day!
