We recently upgraded to QBO advanced and discovered Spreadsheet Sync. How many users are able to use Spreadsheet sync? Can multiple employees use it, or just one?

I was playing around with Spreadsheet Sync on Friday and things were working nicely. My manager logged in and started playing around with it on Saturday. Now (on Monday) I can't get any data to pull, and when I tried to log out and log back in, I can only log in if I take admin rights away from my manager for myself.

I'm here to share some details about the user access for the Spreadsheet Sync feature, @joeyf-createroom.

 

When accessing the Spreadsheet Sync in QuickBooks Online Advance, only the admin users can open and manage the file. That's the reason why you're unable to pull any data if you don't log in using the admin rights.

Thank you for your help. I think I need to clean up my terminology a bit. Is there a way for multiple admins to share app connection ownership? I'm a company admin and can use Spreadsheet Sync, but I can only connect by transferring the app connection ownership to myself, leaving others unable to use Spreadsheet Sync. Is there a way for multiple company admins to pull data using Spreadsheet Sync at the same time?

At this moment, sharing app connection ownership for multiple admins isn’t possible in QuickBooks Online. Only one admin can pull up data using Spreadsheet Sync.


QuickBooks developers always search for ways to improve user experience by promoting helpful and efficient features to streamline processes that suit your business needs.

 

You can send this idea through the Feedback option so our Product Development teams can take a look and might consider this as part of the future enhancements. To do that, follow these steps:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then click Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.


You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Customer Feedback website.

Hi, I am very excited to use Spreadsheet Sync. Is there still limitation that there is only one admin that can use the feature? or Can there be 2 admins for each Company? How can we have multiple users for this feature? 

 

Per your previous response: "In QBO Advanced, only admin users are able to access and manage the Spreadsheet Sync feature. "

 

The response indicate that there can be multiple admin users (not just one user), is that correct?

Per previous response: In QBO Advanced, only admin users are able to access and manage the Spreadsheet Sync feature. 

 

The response indicate that there can be multiple admin users (not only one) so that 2 or more users per company can use the feature. Is that correct?

Thank you for joining us here in the Community. Allow me to chime in and confirm things about the Spreadsheet Sync feature in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

 

You're right. The primary admin and all company admin users added to the account can use the feature.

 

There's no limit to users who can access Spreadsheet Sync. As long as users are added as a company admins, they can access this section.

 

Also, users with the appropriate permissions can manage user profiles in QuickBooks Online. I've included a link you can check out for additional guidance on the process: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.
