Join nowWebster & Sterling bank merged and upgrade to new platform 7/21/23. When downloading the QBO file from the bank and uploading into QB I'm getting the error message "QB is unable to verify financial institution information". QB support team were not able to resolve the issue or able to escalate this issue. I can't be the only person in the US facing this issue.
In addition, I've tried all the supported step by deactivating the bank accounts, testing on a new entity. Does not work
Hello there, pros4474. We understand that you're facing difficulties with downloading the QBO file from the bank and uploading it into QuickBooks.
We understand how runtime errors affect your banking-related tasks. The best course of action is to contact your financial institution and report that the merged bank accounts of Webster and Sterling won't work with QuickBooks Desktop, resulting in an inability to download and import QBO files.

I also have the nightmare with Webster and downloading transactions into QuickBooks. I have paid attention and tried at least 10 X had over 10 conversations and at least 10 messages on Websters Email. I also made complaints at the consumer financial. I even followed their advice and called QuickBooks support who was unable at the time and their only answer is to upgrade from my lifetime subscription to either a yearly business desktop or to their online QuickBooks. So, I am at an impasse as I don't even know if Webster download for QuickBooks is valid data. It's funny but the quicken and QuickBooks download were different yet on the Quicken board same problem same answer from Webster. Meanwhile I am stressed as we can't track or total or even give valid information for 1099's or other tax items. I ahve been called by their so-called Office of the President and their answer is go to QuickBooks. I paid for a lifetime version of B and all ther functions work even with teh 2 other banks we bank with. Why should a customer for over 30 years suffer and be forced to incur costs because a bank is more interested in merging and not hirong programmers.
their only answer is to upgrade from my lifetime subscription
Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
I have had the same problem since the merger. Did you discover a fix yet?
You can use a converter tool (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.
