Join nowPLEASE HELP - I desperately need a QB Supplied Spreadsheet Template for Importing Bank Transactions in EXCEL format. I CANNOT FIND THIS TYPE OF QB TEMPLATE. My small bank does not provide QBO files to easily import bank transactions into QB. I have several hundred Checking Account Transactions to Import and 300+ more Credit Card transactions in EXCEL format to Import. I don't want to manually load all of those transactions into QB any more. I have attached a PDF file which includes Page 1-the QB Check Register layout and my EXCEL spreadsheet with the Bank transactions rearranged into the same Column Names and Data (TO MATCH QB). BUT IT WON'T IMPORT! So I Desperately NEED THE QB SUPPLIED TEMPLATE FOR BANK ACCOUNTS. OR In an older version 2007 QB there used to be a method of Matching Up the Excel Spreadsheet Columns with the QB Columns that made Importing possible. IS THAT MATCHING TOOL STILL AVAILABLE? Thanks for all of your Help on this!!! - GK07
Hello there, @GK07.
I understand the need for you to have a template in importing your bank transactions. However, QuickBooks Desktop is unable to support any. Though, to get your transactions imported, you can check out for a third-party tool.
Also, you may want to consider reconciling your account in QuickBooks Desktop so they'll match your bank and credit card statements.
Please be sure to let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed.
Utilize a 3rd party importer tool.

To import bank transactions into QB from an Excel worksheet downloaded from your bank, use our BRC IIF Transaction Creator , which will create an IIF file you can import to add transactions, usually checks and deposits, directly to your bank account register.
I am in exact same situation, cursing QB and of course there is no help on the weekends.
Hi, I know this reply is late but hopefully it helps others on QBDT:
1. Run a backup
2. Go to: Lists -> Add/Edit Multiple Entries
3. Chose the type of list you'd like to update (Vendors, Customers etc.)
4. Customize the QB columns to match those of the Excel spreadsheet you are copying from
5. Copy from Excel and paste in QBDT.
6. Save
