I commend you for following the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague, Chris. I'd like to offer additional troubleshooting step to help resolve the issue of missing bank transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). To better understand your situation, I need to ask you a few questions.
Firstly, could you please provide the name of your bank and confirm whether it's connected to your QBSE account? Any additional details you provide will help us find more accurate solutions.
Missing transactions in QBSE can occur due to delays or interruptions in the bank connection or the software itself. QuickBooks relies on data from your financial institution. It could also be that your bank is currently undergoing maintenance. To verify this, please visit your bank’s website.
If you don't see any notices there, the issue could be related to your browser. In this case, access your QBSE account through a private window, which doesn’t save search histories and can help isolate the problem. Here are the shortcut keys for opening an incognito window based on common browsers:
Check your transactions. If they appear in incognito mode, it indicates that the problem is related to your browser. You'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser to remove stored data. If the problem persists, consider switching to a different supported browser or device, as there could be a temporary incompatibility with your current setup.
If the transactions are still missing after these troubleshooting steps, please reach out to our live support team for further investigation. They can provide more targeted solutions and alternatives to resolve the issue thoroughly.
Once the issue is sorted, it's essential to categorize your transactions correctly in QuickBooks. This will ensure they appear on the appropriate line of your Schedule C. Proper categorization also helps you organize your income and expenses, giving you a clearer picture of the most impactful aspects of your self-employed business.
