Why did QB stop importing transactions? I have a huge hole where QB stopped importing transactions for about 9 months! CSV file won't import

I use Wells Fargo and downloaded the CSV file with the date range. When I go to import it into QB I get an error message.

Hi, @kimberly42.

QuickBooks hasn't stopped importing transactions. There are a few common reasons that causes why you can't import, such as incompatible file format or file is too large. Let me discuss this further with you.

Before we proceed, can you share with me the error you encounter when trying to import your transactions into QuickBooks? This can help me visualize your issue more.

When manually importing bank transactions into QuickBooks, it’s important to ensure that you’re using the correct 3-column or 4-column format, and it should not exceed 350 KB in size with no more than 1,000 rows.

Since you're trying to import 9 months of transactions, you'll need to split your transactions into smaller segments.

Once you successfully upload your transaction, you can check out this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It provides detailed instructions on how to categorize your bank transactions to ensure they are recorded accurately.

By following these guidelines, you should be able to import your transactions into QuickBooks. I'll keep my notifications on in case you have further questions or concerns you'd like to address. Take care
