Batch Import of Invoices

I'm trying to import invoices using a .csv file and can't get QBO to recognize any of our product/services. I've tried customer service twice and I'm sorry to say, they were no help.

I've named and mapped the fields EXACTLY to QBO. I've EXACTLY typed in the Product/Service, but when the import is done it has wiped those fields blank and says "This product or service isn't in QuickBooks, To add a new product or service, go to Sales>Products and Services>New."  Except they ARE in there...I've tried many different products. The only thing they have in common is that they are specifically "Services", which shouldn't matter.  WHY???

And while we're discussing imports; I want to use batch transactions but there SERIOUSLY is NO WAY TO SAVE them before creating invoices. So if you get interrupted, or you get logged out (which qbo does to me CONSTANTLY) then they are GONE!  I must say the jump from Premium to Advanced is not worth it so far!!

Batch Import of Invoices

I understand the importance of importing your invoices, Melissa.

I regret to hear that despite your numerous efforts, the issues have not been completely resolved.

I've checked our system and found out that we have an ongoing investigation related to the error message you've encountered when importing batch invoices. Please be assured that our engineers are working diligently to resolve this problem.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team again so that you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates on the investigation's status and be notified once it's been resolved. I've included the steps to contact support below.

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter INV-92405 in the Type something field, then click the Send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.

Regarding being logged out constantly, QuickBooks Online allows you to modify the hours you want to stay signed in the program. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and Settings.
  2. Choose Advanced.
  3. Scroll down to the Other preferences section, then click 3 hours beside the Sign me out if inactive for drop-down arrow.
  4. Hit Save, then Done.

I appreciate your patience as we work through this. If you have any other concerns or questions about managing your sales transactions, please don't hesitate to add a comment below. I'll be glad to help you out.

@Melissa016

Use the trial version of an importer tool to isolate the problem.

I find it interesting that the 2 different people I talked to in customer/technical support did not know this was an ongoing issue. Someone's not doing their job! As far as being logged out, I have my setting set to the highest time parameter. But if I switch tabs for anything, it requires me to refresh the screen. Totally locks up. And charging for features that don't work? Will probably be down for months, if not longer? QBO used to be good. We're considering other options...
