Best Apps for QuickBooks Accountant user just starting out?

Hello everyone,

I'm sure this question has already been asked a thousand times, but there is SO much to sift through, I thought I'd just ask again. (Sorry)

I have been researching tons of apps that integrate with QuickBooks Online / QBOA and my brain is melting. There are ten different options for almost every aspect of your business.

Now I realize that some will answer that app selection based on "How much you want to spend." While others will say it's "Based on your individual preference or business."  So I guess what I really want to ask is, "Is it worth all the hassle of trying to decide on all these options if you are just starting, or is QBOA enough all on its own?

Maybe I'll get lucky, and one of you is a QuickBooks and App Integration Specialist. (Wishful thinking)  :)

I have some information about adding an app to your QBOA account. Aside from getting a discount when you purchase an app on behalf of your clients, the available add-ons are highly recommended by accountants and bookkeepers to help manage your account data. This offers the benefits of the clients and the accountant the efficiency and accessibility of QBO with regard to other transactions that aren't supported yet.

 

To view the list of supported apps:

 

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Select the Find apps tab.
  3. From the Search for an app field, type in the app you're looking for.
  4. You can also click on the Browse category drop-down.
