Customizing User set up QBO Advanced

I would like to set up a user to be able to view and edit Pending Estimates only.  I selected the appropriate boxes when making a custom user in QBO Advanced.  Then I checked the users view and they can see everything on the Estimates page including converted Estimates.

I want to be able to do this for my field service techs so they can edit the Estimate in the field and select the items they used on the job.  I don't want them to see other jobs that have been converted and the dollar amounts on those.

Customizing User set up QBO Advanced

Currently, the ability to assign a role for viewing and editing pending estimates, specifically to a customer, is unavailable. I'm here to guide you on how to provide your feedback on this feature. STisdale.

You can send a request to let our Product Team know how this is helpful for your business. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.

Your insights are invaluable to our Product Development team and will help enhance your experience with QuickBooks Online. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

You can refer to this resource when assigning a custom role in QuickBooks Online Advanced (QBO). Check out this article for more details: Add and Manage Custom Roles in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

Furthermore, to understand how estimates are converted to invoices, this resource will give detailed information about the process: Convert an Estimate Into An Invoice in QuickBooks Online.
