how do I take off a personal account from quickbooks?

I'm pleased to see a new member joining us in this Community space. It's always exciting to have new users navigating QuickBooks Online (QBO) and its functionalities. Today, I'll guide you through the process of unlinking your personal bank account from QBO, Rjm1974.

When you disconnect an account connected to online banking in QBO, all uncategorized transactions in the For Review tab will be deleted. Make sure to categorize them before disconnecting.

Once done, proceed to the steps below in unlinking your account:

1. Go to Transactions and choose Bank Transactions.
   
   
   
   
2. Pick the tile for the bank account, then select the pencil icon. 
   
   
   
   
3.  Tap Edit account info.
   
   
   
   
4. Press the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
   
5. Hit the green Save and Close button.

Additionally, if you have an account in the Chart of Accounts that you no longer plan to use, you can make it inactive. This way, you still have access to post-transaction data for reporting purposes.
