In QB on Line Advanced when I try to back up manually with Backup &Restore, the backup remains in queue perpetually. My auto backups have stopped. What has happened?

In QB on Line Advanced when I try to back up manually with Backup &Restore, the backup remains in queue perpetually. My auto backups have stopped. What has happened?

Bofore we proceed, may I know if you receive any specific issues or error message? This way, we can pinpoint any specific resolution regarding the manual and automatic backup data.

 

Furthermore, when manual backup process in QuickBooks Online Advanced  is taking more time than expected. Here are some factors we can consider:

 

  • If your account hosts years of financial information or processes a high volume of transactions, backups can take longer.
  • An unstable or slow internet connection can delay the transmission of data, resulting in longer backup times.
  • Make sure your system isn’t overloaded with too many tasks while performing large backups.

 

In the meantime, you can refresh you QuickBooks account by clicking the browser's Refresh button.

 

If the back up remains in the queue after refreshing, let's login your account in a private browsing window. Refer to the shortcut keys below:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

I also recommend clearing the cache history so that the system can start fresh. If the issue continues, we can switch to another supported browser.

 

On the other hand, the auto backup feature on your device will continuously back up your data until you manually disable it by turning off the backup button. This allows you to decide when to save your data and manage storage space and data usage. See sample illustration below:
